Belvide reservoir supplies the Shropshire Union Canal in south Staffordshire. It provides a mosaic of habitats including open water, fen, marsh, swamp, neutral grassland and broadleaved semi-natural woodland that support a variety of wintering and breeding birds for which the site is notified. Of particular note is the wintering population of shoveler.

Guests can enjoy a special offer of a ‘bird Hide’ permit, normally only available to members only.
